I have been working on a small project called DinoSpeak, which is a windows application for translating between english and the dinosaur language in Star Fox Adventures. Is it not very good made, it's written in VB.NET and VB has a bad habbit of eating a lot of ram.

When and Where?
I started working on DinoSpeak in 2005-6, (I think) in Visual Basic 6.0, because I had learned a bit of it from my Education, and I love Star Fox Adventures. Recently, I started 'porting' it to VB.NET instead of the VB 6.0, because I did not own VB 6.0, it costs money and "Visual Basic .NET 2008 Express Edition" is free. (As in beer)

Why Visual Basic?
Because it's the only programming language I have had the time to learn, because it's so dang easy.
I really wish I had the time to learn advanced C/C++ instead, so I could have it build for Linux, which is what I prefer to run.

The Design
I took the picture and icon from the old VB project and reused it here, which is why the design looks like crap.
I may give it a facelift with a new design someday.

License
DinoSpeak is not licensed yet, but there is a disclaimer. I still need to clean the code and remove or rewrite code that I do not own myself. When that is done, I will open the code and release it under some small open source license.

Alternatives
The way DinoSpeak translates is based on the original Flash based software, available from Starfox.com/adventures (After you completed "Tricky's Test of Dino language")
Another unofficial project like DinoSpeak is the Saurian Translator, created by Dwight from the Krystal Archive. It's based on Javascript, thus platform independent, translates on the fly and has automatic noun detection so stuff like names won't be changed. It can be downloaded for offline use, so it's better than DinoSpeak in any possible way. Plus, since it's based on javascript, the source code is open and there's no binary files, that can be infected by virus.
